Advent Day 20 - Jesus, Our Intercessor

Isaiah 59
16 He saw that there was no man,
   and wondered that there was no one to intercede;
then his own arm brought him salvation,
   and his righteousness upheld him.

Isaiah 53
12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many,
    and he shall divide the spoil with the strong,
because he poured out his soul to death
   and was numbered with the transgressors;
yet he bore the sin of many,
   and makes intercession for the transgressors.

John 17:9, 16-17, 20-21
9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. . . They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. . . 20 "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Hebrews 7
25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Romans 8
34 Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
